Radiology Open House
Radiology Open House
Lindsborg Community Hospital’s Radiology Department will host an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, November 24. The event is free and open to the public, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the hospital’s comprehensive range of technology. Refreshments will be served.
The department is proud to offer tours and information on the newly-expanded, in-house services for 3D mammography and bone density (DEXA) testing. These services had previously only been offered through a mobile unit with limited availability at the hospital. Having these services available on-site provides patients with improved scheduling options and access to the latest imaging technology.
“The addition of these services supports early detection and preventive care for breast cancer and osteoporosis – a vital step in LCH’s ongoing commitment to serving the health care needs of the Smoky Valley community,” said Jodie Miller, radiology director at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
Other imaging exams offered at the hospital include CT scans, ultrasound, echocardiograms and X-rays conducted by highly-qualified technologists. Visitors attending the event can learn more about how these technologies work, what to expect during an exam, and how imaging plays a key role in diagnosis and treatment planning.
