Drs. Jacob "Jake" Breeding and Dwane Beckenhauer will begin offering weekly specialty clinics at Lindsborg Community Hospital this month. Breeding and Beckenhauer will rotate visits on Tuesdays.

Long-time Kansas residents, Breeding and Beckenhauer are members of Salina Regional Surgical Associates, providing general surgical and emergency care for trauma patients at Salina Regional Health Center. Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Beckenhauer and Breeding are both graduates of the University of Kansas; Breeding from the Wichita school and Beckenhauer from Kansas City.

"Jake" Breeding, born and raised in Delphos, Kansas had, until his move to Salina, provided surgical services in Pratt, KS. A native of the Kansas City suburb of Grandview, MO, Beckenhauer provided surgical services in Pittsburg and Girard prior to joining the Salina hospital-based practice.

Both men offer endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures, including (but not limited to) appendectomy, gallbladder, hernia repair, the biopsy of skin lesions, hemorrhoid, colonoscopies and breast surgeries.

"This is just one of the many ways the proposed affiliation with Salina Regional will provide the people we serve with improved access to services, right here at home," stated CEO Larry Van Der Wege. "The same specialty clinics and physicians that have provided for our patients before the affiliation talk will continue. We are not replacing; we are adding choices and opportunities to benefit our patients."
